AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION

The right system.
Installed with care.

From one bedroom to several rooms, we design around the property, explain the choices and plan the finish before the work starts.

DESIGN FIRST

What we check before choosing a unit.

01

The room

Floor area, ceiling height, glazing, orientation, occupancy, equipment and how the space is used.

02

The installation

Pipe distances, wall construction, drain routes, condensate pumps, electrical provision and working access.

03

The outside

A practical condenser location, sound, appearance, airflow, servicing access and any consent requirements.

YOUR OPTIONS

Single-split, multi-split or ducted?

01

Single-split

One indoor unit with one outdoor unit. Each separate system operates independently, which can suit individual rooms or different heating and cooling needs.

02

Multi-split

Several compatible indoor units connect to one outdoor unit. Available capacity is shared, and connected rooms normally need to use the same heating or cooling mode.

03

Ducted

The equipment sits in a ceiling or loft void with air delivered through grilles. It needs suitable access, insulation, drainage and a properly designed duct layout.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

A complete installation, clearly specified.

  • Agreed indoor and outdoor equipment and mounting arrangements
  • Refrigerant pipework, insulation, interconnecting wiring and drainage
  • Pressure testing, evacuation and commissioning
  • Controls demonstration and system handover
  • Warranty and maintenance information

Extras are agreed before work starts.

Longer routes, pumps, specialist access, dedicated electrical work and making good can affect the price. Your quotation identifies what is included for your property.

For multi-room work, we normally take a 50% deposit. Your written quotation sets the payment schedule; finance arrangements are agreed separately.

YOUR QUESTIONS

A few useful answers.

How long does an installation take?

A straightforward single-room system is commonly installed within one working day. Multi-room, concealed and complex installations take longer. We agree the expected programme before work starts.

Will the pipework be visible?

Some installations use neat external trunking; others can use loft or ceiling routes. We agree the practical route and finish at survey. Concealing pipework may involve additional building work.

Do I need a separate electrical supply?

The supply depends on the selected equipment and the existing installation. We confirm the circuit, isolation and any electrical work in your quotation. Capacity alone is not enough to specify a circuit.

Do I need planning permission?

Planning requirements depend on the property, location and installation. Flats, leasehold homes, listed buildings and conservation areas can need additional consents. We consider the outdoor position and noise at survey; the relevant authority or freeholder confirms permission where needed.
