ENERGY & RUNNING COSTS
Understand the inputs.
Estimate the cost.
Use your electricity tariff and realistic usage assumptions to explore indicative running costs. This is a simplified calculation, not a prediction of your electricity bill.
The starting values are editable examples. Use your own tariff. Output capacity is not the same as electrical power drawn. Seasonal SEER or SCOP ratings are not direct hourly predictions.
THE CALCULATION
A simple model, with clear assumptions.
Delivered output ÷ assumed efficiency × equivalent full-output hours × electricity tariff
For the starting example, 3.5 kW ÷ 4 × 4 hours × £0.25 = £0.875 per day. The monthly result uses the unrounded daily figure. Change the inputs to compare different scenarios.
ROOM PLANNER
Which rooms are you considering?
Select rooms to build a simple brief. The guide assumes separate basic Midea single-split installations; it does not size your rooms or design a multi-split system.
Select one or more rooms.
Basic installation guides only. Room capacity requires assessment. Long routes, pumps, electrical work, access and multi-split configuration may add cost. Qualifying domestic VAT is assumed at 0%.
