Health & Safety Policy – ProAir Ltd
In this health and safety policy, references to “we”, “us”, “our”, “the Company”, are references to “ProAir Ltd”. We recognise our duties and responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and will comply with all statutory duties for Health & Safety to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all employees and other parties who may be affected by our work activities.

Management Responsibilities
The Directors of ProAir Ltd are aware of their individual responsibilities and what is required to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the company’s workforce and anyone affected by our work activities. Management will:
- Provide adequate resources to implement this policy effectively
- Ensure all employees receive appropriate health and safety training
- Regularly review and update our safety procedures
- Lead by example in all health and safety matters
- Investigate all accidents and near misses to prevent recurrence
Employee Responsibilities
All employees will be made aware of their responsibilities to ensure the health, safety and welfare of their own wellbeing and those affected by their actions through cooperation with the company. Employees must:
- Follow all established safety procedures and working methods
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Report hazards, accidents, and near misses immediately
- Attend safety training sessions as required

Key Safety Areas
Electrical Safety
All electrical work associated with air conditioning installations must comply with Part P of the Building Regulations. Our engineers are qualified to current electrical safety standards and will:
- Isolate electrical supplies before commencing work
- Test all electrical connections before energising systems
- Use appropriate lockout/tagout procedures
- Ensure all work meets BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
Working at Heights
Air conditioning installations often require working at elevated positions. We will:
- Conduct risk assessments for all work at height
- Provide appropriate access equipment (scaffolds, ladders, platforms)
- Ensure all personnel are trained in fall protection methods
- Use safety harnesses and fall arrest systems where required
- Inspect all access equipment before use
Refrigerant Safety (F-Gas Compliance)
Our engineers hold valid F-Gas certification for handling refrigerants safely. We will:
